The brilliant Sarah Deer Sarah Deer (@SarahDeer) joins our panel tonight!

Sarah Deer is a citizen of the Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma and a professor at the University of Kansas. A lawyer by training but an advocate in practice, Deer’s scholarship focuses on the intersection of federal Indian law and victims' rights, using indigenous feminist principles as a framework. Sarah describes herself in her Twitter bio as a Sovereignty Hobbyist, which makes her a perfect nerd to join our crew. This is Sarah’s first SCOTUS theater!

more about the event

The reviews are in! SCOTUS had a “Blockbuster season” (NY Times/PBS Newshour/Sacramento Bee)

We’ll recap 3 of the season’s most important cases on Saturday August 15 at 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern.

The online dramatic reading will feature members of our company, and a script created from decisions with help by our resident artists, lawyers and scholars. We hope our online reading will be at least as entertaining as virtual arguments.

Regardless, it will offer audiences a look at the way the Supreme Court is deciding on access to abortion, LGBT labor protections, and sovereignty of Indian lands.

The reading will be followed by an expert panel to shed light on it all.

Please join us!
